Købnerkirken’s children’s church, also called K-Kidz, is Købnerkirkens program for children during the sunday service. K-Kidz is intended for children from kindergarten through approximately 6th grade. As a general rule, the children participate in the program without their parents.

Both children and adults gather together in the beginning of the service in the church hall at 11:00 AM. After welcome and a couple of songs, the children and the K-Kidz volunteers head to children’s church, which is usually divided into two groups — one gathering for children from kindergarten through 0th grade in the church café, and another gathering for children from 1st through 6th grade in “Himmelrummet”. The children always finish together, all as one group.

In children’s church, we focus on community and relationships, fun activities, games, crafts, and most importantly, helping the children get to know both God and themselves better. The children’s church is run by volunteers who all have a big heart for children and who want to meet the children with engagement, sincerity, and openness, exactly where they are. We believe that every child is different and unique, and we strive to make room for that in our community — just as we believe that God loves us exactly as we are.
